BlazeTech Corporation, Woburn, MA, May 2021– August 2021

Mechanical Engineering Intern

  • Designed, built, and tested a dust generator for testing of a Mars rover dust filtration system

  • Presented directly to NASA on a UAV hazard model, performed research for hydrogen aircraft

  • Modeled a hypersonic window cooling system and wind tunnel with ANSYS Fluent, computed hand calculations for validation of simulation results

Undergraduate Research, Tufts University, September 2019May 2021

  • Researched acoustic/electromagnetic levitation using data from the International Space Station

  • Determined a failure mode for the samples so data may be rapidly screened to quantify the deviation from ideal deformation behavior, worked with MATLAB and CINE file viewer

Old Cove Yacht Club, New Suffolk, NY, July 2013August 2019

Head Sailing Instructor & Coach, U.S. Sailing Level I Certified

  • Coached racing techniques to adolescent sailors, managed instructors, and communicated with parents

Relevant Projects

MATLAB Rocket Comparison Project, Tufts University, April 2019

  • Invented a MATLAB program that evaluates the efficiency of various industry rockets

  • Graphed a series of polynomial fitted data lines to show the performance

  • Created a graphical user interface that outputs a specific rocket needed for a payload input

Rotating Night Light with Light Sensor, Tufts University, November 2020December 2020

  • Coded an Arduino and Raspberry Pi as a client/server relationship to communicate over the internet

  • Laser cut a box, 3dprinted a case to contain the hardware, built a functioning sensor-dependent night light

CAD Animation of Sailing Regatta, Tufts University, April 2020 – May 2020

  • Created an 8 second animation using 3ds Max, AutoCAD, Inventor, Adobe Photoshop and Premiere Pro

  • Utilized CAD for creating parts of complex surfaces, applied materials, animated the scene, rendered for 13 hours, and installed sound to the animation

Renewable Energy Plan for New Mexico, Tufts University, December 2018

  • Designed an economically feasible, carbon neutral energy plan for New Mexico by 2070

  • Created a Gantt chart to map the progression, and factored in construction and decommissioning costs

Repair of 1973 Volkswagen Beetle, Self-Initiated Project, December 2020January 2021

  • Identified engine ignition issue with a 1973 Volkswagen Beetle, pinpointed issue with starter solenoid

  • Fully replaced starter, changed oil, and serviced the car

Activities

Tufts SEDS Rocketry Team, Tufts University, Member, September 2018May 2021

  • Built an L1 certified rocket that successfully launched and landed
